The U.S.S.R. had just annexed Latvia in 1940. He was
recruited as a young boy to be part of a Soviet test
group. The test group was put together to hone
special abilities (such as telekinesis, telepathy,
etc.) as well as to teach magical powers. Grugar
excelled in the group and quickly moved to the top of
his 'class'. As he grew older, he became more
powerful. At the age of 16, he learned of the
existence of the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) and
the power it held. From the time he heard of the
book, Grugar knew he must possess it. At the age of
20, he left the facility he had lived in for all his
life, killing many of the soldiers, as well as fellow
test subjects. Ever since, he's been searching the
world for the Necronomicon. Once he obtains it, he
plans on opening a portal to Hell and pulling powerful
daemons through in order to take control of the world.
Rumors have led him to St. Petersburg, where the
books is said to be.
