accident. She suffers from Insomnia. Because she can't sleep, she
gets laid, being as that calms her down enough to sleep. She's
cynical, potentially unprofessional, and very loyal to her friends.
Born to Alex and Christine Grant, Cameron lived a relatively
normal life until her parents were killed in a car accident when she
was fifteen. The trauma of losing both of her parents so violently
caused her to skip her sophomore year of school, going to a therapist
and grief counseling. Her senior year, she ran into a little problem
when, in an attempt to be accepted to a top grade college, hacked
into the school's database and changed her grades. She attended
MIT, graduating with top honors. While in college, she lost her
virginity and took up Ultimate Frisbee for a short while. Discovering
sex to be the best sleep aid, she started resorting to that as a
means to sleep. She graduated from school Summa Cum Magna (or
whatever the
highest thing is.) with a major in Computer Science.
The few years that followed had her employed as a video game
programmer. One phone call from `Gavin' ultimately changed her
life.
Recruited for her excellent hacking skills, she quickly rose in
rank
to the Omega division of WorldTec. After two years of working for
WorldTec, she learned that her parents death wasn't accidental. She
learned that the true cause was a severed brakeline and two well
placed gunshot wounds to their heads. This caused her a renewed
determination to find out who did it, and bring them down as
quickly
and painfully as possible. She feels in her heart a sort of
responsibility to avenge the wrongful death.
She was voted `Employee of the Year' twice, due to her tireless
efforts to ensure that the task at hand was completed. She has been
described as `Known to be fun, and fun to know', `eccentric, but
approachable' and `getting things done with humorous style'. She
has
also been called `The sexiest computer hacker to grace the earth.'
She calls Jon, Gavin, and Lil her closest friends. She's
found that she's better off single than attached. She tends to
curse
a lot and call everyone `Dude.'
She also enjoys driving her Lamborghini Diablo at high speeds in
city traffic, engaging in the occasional drag race.
In St. Pete, she drives a Mitsubishi Eclipse, dark blue, with a black
interior. She set up a place there just for a nice change from the
chilliness of Boulder. She looked at the place and decided it would
be a nice place to hang her hat for a couple of months out of the
year.
After being in St. Pete for a little bit, she gained the attention of a
vampire by the name of Josh Maclachlan. Josh tried to make
Cam into a retainer for him (i.e. a slave) but he messed up and
turned Cam into a living vampeal instead.
