Synopsis:
This was a war filled with tension and drama, but certainly one of the more exciting ones. Our opponents were the seemingly pleasant smiley face clan and we agreed to pick maps as opposed to the usual random draw. We of course chose Death Trap, but Smiley chose Frostfire as SEALS. Frostfire was first and we soon learned why they picked it, as they proceeded to stomp us 6 to 1. My own efforts provided the only win which would prove to be rather crucial. Next was Death Trap and the pressure was on. A sweep would give DRH the pick on the third round, but this seemed unlikely. But dreams do come true and Smiley was sweeped in DRH, with Raptor claiming his first DRH MVP with 7 kills. The war was headed to Crossroads but not before a fair deal of complaint from Smiley. They attributed the sweep to the lag, clearly a factor that effects both sides equally. Nevertheless, the war went on and DRH chose SEALS. DRH was decidedly victorious by applying some of the best team tactics I've ever been a part of. Lead by Nighthawks skillful direction, we pulled of a near sweep losing only one round. Bedabye sniped his way to MVP with 9 confirmed kills. Our excitement was short lived as Smiley transformed from fair players to sore losers in record time. They refused to report the loss on account of the lag and another war broke out, this time a verbal battle. Insults were slung and both teams left unhappy. But I soon did a little complaining of my own, this time to Gamebattles and we were finally awarded the win!
