Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Book 1" Art by: Koichi Tokita; Story by: Hajime Yadate & Yoshiyuki Tomino
This book is a graphic novel which means it uses pictures with word balloons to tell the story. This book covers Episodes 1 thru 20. It follows the same general story line as the TV series but there are a lot of differences.  Some things that happen in the book never happened in the series. Some things in the series arent mentioned in the book. Some things happen in the book before they happen in the series & some things happen in the book after they happen in the series. If you haven't figured it out yet, there are a lot of changes. But it doesnt affect the quality of the book.  Also, the big plus of this book is the kawaii manga in the back. It combines the G-Gundam series & Gundam Wing & it is sooooo adorable! *be still my heart* I wouldn't necessarily say that this is a "must-have" book but it is definetly worth your money. I can't wait to get the 2nd book.

"Pojo's Unofficial Total Gundam Wing"
Ok, let's see. I'll start with the pros of the book. This is kind of like an ultimate fan book. It has character bios, mecha profiles, websites, an ok 3-D section (3-D glasses included), model info, card game info, video games & a lot more. Another thing that I found extremely helpful was a section where it lists summaries of all the other Gundam series ever made. As a person who has only heard about & never seen a lot of the other GUndam series, I thought that was really cool.           Now for the not so good stuff. Since this is an unofficial book & not endorsed by Bandai, Sotsu or Sunrise, there is some stuff in here that is wrong. Not very much of it but still some things here & there. Some of the articles contradict themselves. (One said Quatre was a test tube baby & the other said he was the only child in his family to be born of natural birth. The second is the true one.) Also, there are a few parts when i wanted to smack the authors upside the head. (For example, this quote: "Gundam Wing - we have no idea why the series was named after this particualar Gundam but it was." HE-LLO! Maybe b/c Heero is the main character & his Gundam is named Wing. Hmmm, ya think?) Unfortunatley, these are not the only mis-informations in the book.       However, if you just grit your teeth at the mis-information & the times when the authors' opinions get in the way, this is a good fan book.
