D awoke from their night of bliss still in Larva's arms. Somehow Larva had managed to sit up without waking D, and he held D's head in his lap, running those strange and dangerous nails lovingly through D's hair. But when D opened his eyes and looked at Larva, he was surprised to see the man was crying, silently. Larva must have been surprised as well, for quickly he wiped the tears from his face after realizing D had awoken.
"Larva, what's wrong?" D was answered by silence. D sat up and took Larva's beautiful face in his hands, made him look at D. Tears still shone in his haunting eyes. "Larva, please, tell me what makes you so sad?"
A single word escaped through Larva's lips. "Miyu."
D nodded; he understood perfectly. His beautiful lover was homesick and missed his previous love. He pulled Larva to him and pet his hair, kissed his forehead, and told him he understood. And he did, D understood probably more than Larva did. The two had found company in each other's arms, and beyond that, D believed they had found love, but the two would always know something was missing, some person or feeling. Something created and stolen away, which the other could never fill. D and Larva would never leave each other, D knew as well. They would be together forever, but eternally apart. Larva wept silently in D's arms, and so focussed on comforting his companion D did not notice the single tear which had somehow escaped from D's eye. But thier third companion saw it, and this time he kept his mouth shut, but thought, So, he finally made the choice, and it looks as though good prevailed over evil. And looks like the three of us will be loney souls for the rest of eternity.
