This is Enthroned sixth album & their second on Napalm Records. This Belgian is one of the bands that still stay on their own predecessor, never changed or slowed down either. They still present a fast, melodic yet-thrashing black metal as what they play since 12 years ago. Sabathan vocals have always meant hellish, eerie & grim and he did it again in Xes Haereticum. I’m sure fans of black metal will like this album but who can’t beat Marduk’s Plagus Angel? None, but Xes Haereticum should also be one in the top list. As I got the digipack version, its feature 3 bonus tracks; ‘Crucified Towards Hell’, ‘Satanic Metal Kult’ & a cover of Kreator’s Under The Guillotine that’s always be my choice. Fans of old-Marduk & 90’s Mayhem will never disappointed to get this album.
