IMMOLATION Harnessing Ruin (2004 Olympic Recordings/ Century Media) |
|
Harnessing Ruin arose 2 years after their last album, Unholy Cult & the sound has expanded from that previous album. They have toned down the music instead of putting more subtle melodies. I would say songs in this album are the most melodies the band has ever written. It’s still sound like the predecessor, & there were spots of Here In After & a little bit of debut Dawn Of Possession. But however it’s, Immolation still deliver utter savagery death metal with dark, foggy & ominous sounds. The recruiting of new drummer doesn’t affect the band much. Immolation has never being the most brutal, the most technical or the most of anything but saying they play typical death metal is just not enough for the band. After 17 years, they still proudly play the same style of US death metal!! www.everlastingfire.com |
