If I said Brazilian death metal, so what’s in your head? It must be Krisiun or Rebaelliun or some of us think about Abhorrence & yes, Nephasth is merely sound like that; just like the typical Brazilian blasting satanic death metal. Nephasth musical is something between Krisiun, Rebaelliun, Vader, & Morbid Angel. The vocalization is really Rebaelliun-ish, the riffs are technical yet-thrashing. But the drummer is not that typical, he has variety skills; fast & intense blast beat and also slower part & break. I’m impressed with the short drum solo in the beginning of the song ‘Hate Earth’. There’s also an instrumental track entitled ‘Ignis Victory’ with a bit sounds of keyboard which remind me to Nile. Brazilian death metal is always mean to be brutal, technical, aggressive & savagery and that’s what Nephasth play but actually the band is no more... www.mightymusic.dk
