Hail Mantakhz Hail!!! How are you there Nazre, how's living in the capital of Sabah? What's the band latest progression?

666 goat sodomized hailz my satanic brother necro bathory!!hah!livin in here just ok,same as any place in this country I guess,very hot as hell and hard to find a job!!well,as you know,we have just finished recording our 2nd blasphemiy entitled “Polymourphous Perversion”. Which will be released this December.

Let's talk about the band; can you introduce Mantak in not more that 7 words? Hahahah!! You find it easy?? As I knew, the band originally known as Waffat, why does it changed to Mantak year later?

hahaha…you're fuckin right its totally easy!!hhmm..lets start “we're pukies desecrator spawned by sin”!!!!...yes,as you know we are formally known as WAFFAT..i changed the name to MANTAK after our ex-vokillz (HADI) retired from this band..i don't want any bullshit things to happen to our band in the future,that's why I changed this band's name!

Talking about Eye Of Deviant, I think it's the most brilliant stuffs ever released by Mantak in term of fast, melodic & entire facet comparing to 3 previous releases & it's also get much good reviews. How was the feedback so far? Is there any unsatisfaction to this debut? Sound?

thanx for the comment bro! About the feedback we got its just usual and ordinary as the other band, some like it and some dont! we just don't give a shit about the selling actually! we prefer a person who's buying our stuff and know about this true underworld metal scene rather than a dullhead kid which buying our stuff and just know saying this is a black metal band!!..of course!! There's a lot of unsatisfaction within the E.O.D album especially the sound system!!fuck!!it is the totally worst!!sorry for all the buyers who buy our EOD album and felt like really mad about the sound product!!hah!BUT we have paid it in the the 2nd blasphemies!!all the mistakes from the first one has been repaired in this 2nd album!! grab it when its unleashed!!!!

I'm impressed with your most melodic riffs & solos, that's really killz!! But, sometimes I'm quite disappointed with your vocalization. In some part, it seems that you didn't had the high shriek vocal comparing to previously recorded thy Dance Of The Evil Bewitched in PPPuaka IV. What's your comment?

hah! i'm fuckin sorry for the mistake bro!yeah!i admit it that in the Eye Of Deviant album my voice was broken as shit!!hah!i dont know why?maybe because it is a fucking rush recording! but i have paid it in our next blashemies!!all of my mistake in the vokillz have been repaired!!

EOD featured far much musical improvement when you mixed of melodic black/ dark metal with lots of death metal touch & some thrash metal. How come to try this recipe? Was EOD describing your own musical formulation?

not really,it is just a basic extreme metal sounding,actually three of us was a metal maniac!we listen to all kinds of metal from heavy to thrash and death to black metal..and its reflect alot through our musick composing!!!

Before the releasing of EOD, Dark Borneo Art release initially. If I'm not mistaken this EP scheduled to release in 2000, why did it finally delay until 2 years? Does the black metal issue cause it? Did you get sales rating of both releases?

i have said enough about this bullshit matter!!i think you must better ask the MUZIK BOX it self about the "pukimak" problem facing the EP!!i dont think it is because of stupid black metal issue attack in our country 2 years ago!!it is because the EP schedule to crush the market BEFORE the black metal problem in our country!i heard a news that another band from this label also got the same problem like us!!no..but according from both label,the selling goes well comparing to other releases,so i think it is a good news for us.

Conversing about your upcoming album, Polymorphous Perversion, what can we expect about it & how's it differs from Eye Of Deviant & Dark Borneo Art? Do you still apply the same formula?

it is much more blasphemies,barbaric,aggrasive,religious raping,pure hatred than both of the previous shadow!!!basically it is still have the same formula but this time it is much better than before!!

Can we expect more cover or re-record of old songs as Blasphemer & Sakhtyanic Doctrine in dark Borneo Art? Any plan for these?

which do you mean??if you meant the new album "polymourphous perversion" no!!it is all a fresh new rites from us!yes..we have plan to re-record our old song and to record some of the cover song in our future new recording...but it is still early to talk about this..may the future will tell!

This second album has already recorded last April at Nebiula with Jadam As sound engineer. How does it feel work with him & in Nebiula? I'm sure that Jadam & even Jaie have reviewed your newest hymns, what did they said?

it was fuckin great!!!it was an honour to us to working together with jadam and jaei!!!jadam as a sound engineer raelly understands what we want from our musick!!!...well..yes of course they have viewed our new musick and they said its great and ok..i will not talk more about this as somebody will get pissed to us!!haha..

I heard that Premonition Recs. from Germany interested for releasing your albums there, is it true? How's your relationship with them, you get any deal?

yes...you are damn true necro!!premonition will release our 2nd blashphemies in CD format for an european legion!...it is damn good for us as we can spread all of our hatred and anger to all the european legion out there!! micheal and me are very close friends!!we will always contact each other and giving a news about both of the label and band!!hopefully someday i can go to germany and getting drunk with micheal and his barbarian konco!!!! hahahahahaha.....

Let's get to the band, Mantak supposed to record & release a demo in 1996 but it was cancelled, why did it cancel?

it is a financial problem i must say...at that time there's hard to find a good studio in my place (labuan),if it is,it is too expansive and it is hard to us to do it since we have got no job at that time...we actually will record it in KK (capital of sabah) but again the PUKIMAK financial problem facing us!!we supposed already release one tiny reahersal demo in 96 but due to the advice we got from a bloodbrother namely GRIND of MORBITUARY we have cancelled to release it as the sound are really broken!!!

There's statement claim Mantak influenced by old-As Sahar, care to explain? Which bands actually have being your influences? Can you let me know your playlist?

no!! not really....yes..i am admit that i'm really praised the old AS SAHAR songs (even a new one!!!)but i dont think that they musick has reflect a lot to us...it is hard to say which band are really our main influence,but we really like SODOM,IMPALED NAZARENE,DESASTER and many more!!!it is hard to mention my playlist in here coz it is too numerous to mention it over here!!

I would like to ask about Sakhtyanic Doctrine, some reviews that this demo was really different from Mantak's musical & seems that you're having experimental in this demo. Care to explain?

who said our musick is an experimental in the sakhtyanic doctrine demo? haha...not really..it is just an ordinary black metal musick influence by old VENOM and BATHORY!!i didnt see any experimental things in that demo..

Till now, the original members left in the band only Lee & you. Whre are the old members including Hadi, the originator of Waffat? Why did you recruited Andy recently, do you felt hard to handle both vocal & the only guitar at the same time? The drummer also always changed; sometimes it's Azarul & another times, Sodomz, why?

well...the last time i saw HADI was in the year 2000 as he is being a lecturer for the rakan muda crappy association...haha..but he is still our friend and i still consider him as a bloodbrother as both of us whose struggling making this band alive in the early days!!he is still calling me and ask about the band sometimes......actually andy is just a sessionist line up...he only worked with us in the recording of MAXIMUM DECIBEL DESASTER compilation 2 or 3 years ago...thats all..he is now playing with a KK death metal band called FOETAL CARNAGE...azarul has out from this band..as his got any commitment to do....sodomz are really heavlly sick nowadays..his head a totally injured after involving with a car accident 2 years ago!!he cant play drums anymore this time and it is a great lost for us as he is a very potential drummer!!!!we hope sodomz can play and crush the drums again for us!!!nowadays,we have recruited a new drummer for this band,he is IR'ONEZ from INSIDE/MAAR....he is a very potential drum crushing!!!!!

People right now claim Mantak as the best black metal band in Sabah & the most top 5 in Malaysia. Any comment?

Mantak right now recruited more & more fans & many had support you so much, but it seems that some seems unhappy with it, what you get to say about it? I heard rumors that you had trouble with some Sabahan crowded, explain?

Mantak by far is one of the hottest bands to play gigs. So far, how many gigs have you done along these 8 years? Recall your most memorable moment on stage? Would you story about the band's first ever gig, Maximum Decibel Disaster I, wit whom did you share the stage?

haha..i dont really remember about that actually...i cant remember how many time we have crush the stage!!haha..but of course all of it remains great memories to us!!!and hopefully can destroy the stage together again with all the band we have shared the stage before!!..the MAXIMUM DECIBEL DESASTER part 1 was always be the best gig after THE ENOURMOUS WRATH gig we have ever play!!!!soo many maniac serve they fuckin head to us to be slaughter!!!yeah!!!!we hope that nocturnal desaster will arise again!!!!!

Many black metal band today play their music in fast, brutal, barbaric & ferocious way as what we can listen from Marduk, Dark Funeral, Krisiun, Impiety, SOD & so do Nagflar have get their music to melodic but brutal in Sheol. What do you think about this, dare to try it?

Sabah metal scene grows very well lately, so many good bands existed. What do you think about this, what do you want to see there in nearest future? Can you suggest another killer bands there?

yes,it is true that sabahan metal scene has getting bigger and bigger day after day...but to be honest not all the band arise was great or good..there's still having some crappy bullshit kepala butoh band or minded!!!but of course not all,there's still have a lot of great band in sabah...so far the band i recommend is DEMIZER, MORTUARY ANCESTOR, PERPETUAL, MAAR, INSIDE, DESPERATE CONTRACIVE, VICIOUS ENTITY, FOETAL CARNAGE, KHURAFAT, EVYLYN INCARNATE, SPLATERED SOUL, ASTAGNIGRAT and many more!!too numeorous to say!!!i think this answer may effect to some of sabahan sensitive crowd..im very sorry for my honesty!!please understand again with my answer!!!
