Loso's interview after the succes of their
last album released : Losoland.
What
do you think when everything is international?
Is
good, I�m happy for it that everyone is step ahead further into international
level.
Loso
intend to stay in Thai rock style and Thai way of living.
Sak
: Music that Loso made are Thai music, sale for Thai people. And the non-Thai
doesn�t understand what it say. If we change the lyrics in English is
international enough. Because
Loso�s music already have that international attitude itself but the only
problem is that they don�t understand so the music we make have to give an extra
attention at the language and communication.
Yai
: If it have to be in English we have to be dexterous. Is not just only how� the words should go like this, follow with
this lyric or melody. It have more choices and ways. Have to think
that with these idiom the non-Thai will hit it or not.
What
is the reason that keeps you working?
Sak
: First you need energy, energy comes from life. No matter which subject it is
but your durability are very important. Have confident in what you�re doing, it
is everything, good things that we can do. That source save our life�s energy.
Use it for our work that we love, make music and make songs that we most
adore.
Yai
: Began from a word we�ve though and a sentence : �Uh! Next album we will make
it better then this one.� Here
is it, the power is right here and grapped everything while we see them. They
push us to that peak� again. ( Sak repeat with full volume �Filling in!�)
You
have a point of view for work and life, how is it?
Sak
: Is the same story because our life is music. Many music/songs based on real
life stories. Is something artistic and I can not tell which one you
have to know best. Is something that an individual person will like this and
another will like that. Like Picasso�s painting. Some look at it and say it�s
beautiful, some say is rubbish. Art is to understand by those who can see and
want to be understood. People who knew me often said this song sound very nice,
some said they didn�t liked also could not accepted. You tell me you like this
song and I�ll say I don�t like it. This is an issue on the taste and choice you
make. Art in everyone�s hearts lies at where? If it lies in the middle : Should
love music and have music in your heart.
Yai
: Happened to have many peoples who like the same like we are and our style of
producing.
The
stream of J-ROCK have affected your music?
Sak : In my life I
never try to copying from Japanese music. I don�t think about that not at all.
Rock N Roll music came from America and England. Rock N Roll is not only in
clothing. I maybe think like a Rock N Roll nation in the 70�s. Actually I knew
it has to do with style and clothing. I�m not staying you should be dressed like
that. But my life is like this. People should thinking where you come and start
from in life. Or did someone or something made you into that way of life or
not?
What
do you see on the grown and changes from other bands?
Sak
: I� think they are on the doubt of
themself. Rushing with eyes view. The truth is if it�s already good why should
you change? Change for the development should keep the percentage stay in
balance.
Yai
: Some people changed up to 100% (laughing).
Sak
: For me you can change not less then 30%.
Yai
: Style have to be in it, like this album we are pop-rock. Then have fans who
like this style and also like Hard core. You got another new big group of fans
but the confused from the old fans have makes them feeling unsecured. Or you can
be anything (Sak talk through the air �Uh! So what are we?�-laughing), I don�t
want anyone to think like us this way. Personally we like many styles, anything
are up to us but when we are ourself seems like everyone�s busy with his own
life and may sound a little selfish. If I have an album it have to be for me
alone, uh!. This have to be me only.
What
is the change from first album to present?
Sak:
The difference you can see clearly is how �pure� and fresh the first album was.
Not so complicated, like how the person was� born just to be like that. After we�ve grown-up we started to know� which way we can and want to follow.
Yai
: More details in language- words and lyrics are getting more into their places.
Become complicated by the time it grewn up but can see that�s still coming from
its old roots.
Out
standing point of Loso are what?
Yai
: The good looking, handsome face of Sak I think (laughing).
Sak
: That�s one reason (giving a shy smile) but speaking straight out it have to be
about the story of the songs. How we can make, producing and recording by
ourself. Beside that the singer itself or even the band itself should know
how� to perform to the audiences. Is like
how to punch your fist right and have to knock it down at the same time
too. That�s the out standing point we always have.
Yai
: If our songs is good but when we have to perform and they�ll hear bad singing,
bad live show, not a music to groove your feet and they�ll say �Ey! Not fun at
all�. Playing good music is important and specially because we are a rock band.
We can not refuse that live concert can multiply the fans up. You get the
negative and the positive figure.
Is
there any pressure you guys got during the work?
Sak
: I have to say I never feel pressure. Because I understand the world and
understand in life how things are. Is not when the album get released
and the sale is over million every album or something. If you think like that
you shouldn�t be doing anything. We have to work in what we like best. Things
that we�ve already archived, however people liking it or not we can not answer
you that.
Yai
: I think pressure doesn�t come from ourself. When the first album got famous we
doesn�t know what will happened. Then the second album came out we couldn�t
decide because we didn�t made it. �Hey! Will he create it better then the last
album or not? Or he will decide which way we should go?� So now one team turned
to make the decision for us. But everything is up to me, if this album maybe can
sale and not reached to million (Sak hurry up to say �2 million� and he laugh)
but everything is still up to our decision.
Sak, you wrote and made for almost every songs in the album. Do you have
any guide for peoples who interested in making music?
Sak
: Have to come from the spirit, you�ve got to know what you like and find that
�you� in yourself. I think there�s so much things that made music of today
overlooked on the fact how authentique music like Kru Suruphon Toonawinic and
p�Ad Karabao are filling with elagance and their music make a point. I�m not an
old timer but I listen to those music. They made me feel how precious and the
value of writing mean and will stay forever. Music now thesedays were made for
marketing and commercials, which means they write music that last from 3 months
till 1 year. When you asked �A famous band from last 3 months, which songs do
they have? I couldn�t remembered.�.[ That�s an exsample I pulled out for you if
you still wondering what�s 3 months song is.]
Yai
: The same as flashing fashions. Another point was that�s how we see out of our
corner then we thought �Eh! Where did the artist go after the released of their
first album? When they disappear, they just keeping disappear!�. Actually the
word artist is more then that, more then the rest and more then the
producer.
Sak
: Music for 3 month are plenty. For me I hope to make music that last forever.
Take a look at �Yesterday by The Beatles� their music existed for over 30-40
years and it still stand till today. That�s keeping me thinking all the time. My
own songs were just 5 years, asked who know a song �Mae�? People saying yes they
do still know because of its valuable lyric�s expression. If talking about music
that last for 10 years and someone asked does anyone know a song from Utsanee
Chotikun : �Dai yang sia yang�? Or �Made in Thailand� by Karabao?
What
you have to do for not becoming a 3 months song?
Sak
: Give an inner smile instead of an answer.
Yai:
A lot of details you know, now I never hear or find any elegance songs in
today�s music when I tried to listen. There is just only one person make music
and another will write lyric to fit the melody. But
they forget the sound of this or that tone. Because we are Thai and that I think
it is important.
You
wrote many songs, which songs in the master piece?
Sak
: (Make a thinking face.) So many�take �Mae� this one I think is a master piece
for myself. �Somsarn� is one of them but is not when the song become a hit
doesn�t mean it is a master piece. No not at all. I don�t know�I have a sense
that many songs will stay forever.
How
can you be so sure they will stay forever?
Sak
: From life, (Yai annoy Sak by saying � It started from the song �Ka num nom�
and he laugh.) from Thai life. I think this sort of music will last. Because it
get through a human heart. I don�t make a 3 months song. I make music that stay
forever. So no matter it will not be famous but it have and will stay, it will
be a song that you will talk about and over 5 years you still can remember. And
not like �So called what song again?�. (Yai
suddenly break the line : you know�this song�I love you under the bridge
song�.Everyone in the room are ROFLOL!!!)
What
do you want people to say about Loso?
Sak
: Before I wanted to be like other. After I grown-up and I guess everyone begin
to become more individual. I only want to be myself more then anything till
today I can do what I want because I am myself.

: When you buy the album make sure it�s not an illegal copy. Do not buy the
illegal ones.

royal fans. At this moment of the interview I have see a research (research
about the released and the successful from lastest album �Losoland�) makes me
very happy. I�m glad that everyone still enjoy the music and I have to say like
I always do that we will do and try our best in each album and each songs like
we�ve used do in the past.
Yai
: I want to keep some people in mind, someone who take our CD from somewhere and
dubplicated into cassettes. That person do not work for it, they do not put
anything out of it. But
the one who are at this side have to think and produce but do not get anything.
It destroy or work spirit.
