The Spellbook
What it's Called: The Summoning Charm
What You Say: "Accio!"
What it Does: Causes items to fly into your hands
Comments: You can summon specific objects at your whim just by adding the object's name after Accio. (e.g. "Accio Broomstick!" or "Accio yummy bishonen Draco!") Otherwise, you might be trying to point at Draco, but if your aim is off, you could miss and get Crabbe or Goyle instead. Ugh.

What it's Called: The Lock Charm
What You Say: "Alohomora!"
What it Does: opens locks
Comments: This charm only works on basic key locks, and there are lots of anti-thievery charms that will protect against it. Translation: If you're gonna try anything big, you're gonna need more than this.

What it's Called: The Visibility Charm
What You Say: "Aparecium!"
What it Does: Makes visible things that were previously not, like invisible ink
Comments: Like with the lock charm, there are ways of making this spell ineffective.

What it's Called: The Bird Charm
What You Say: "Avis!"
What it Does: Causes birds (usually doves or sparrows) to fly from the end of your wand
Comments: This spell is a very trivial one, usually used only as a parlor trick. It works by apparating small birds from the surrounding area from their current position. After being released through the wand, they will usually return to their nesting site without any trouble.

What it's Called:
The Canceling Spell
What You Say:
"Deletrius!":
What it Does:
Will cancel out the results of a spell that has been cast
Comments:
This spell is not always effective, as some charms require specific anti-spells to canel them out. (e.g "Lumos" and "Nox.")

What it's Called: The Beaver Charm
What You Say:
"Densaugeo!"
What it Does:
This clever little spell causes the front teeth to grow at an alarming rate.
Comments: This is an ideal spell to use in class on one of those goody-good Gryffindors. It's easily fixable, and therefore won't get you into too much trouble, but it's terribly embarrassing for your victim. *evil grin*

What it's Called: The Bisection Charm
What You Say:
"Diffindo!"
What it Does:
Causes a tear in fabric, a crack in stone, a cut in skin, you get the idea...
Comments:
Depending on the strength of the castor, this spell can be used to cut whole castles in half. The only real limitation os that it can only be used to bisect things. It wouldn't be very useful for carving your name into your desk, as it would only split it up the middle.
