| Known as "gargoyles" because of their rough, stoney skin and habit of freezing absolutely still until its prey comes close enough to be mauled to death, these unusual creatures come in a plethora of types. Here in the menagerie we have two of the draconic type and two of canine appearance. Nocturnal, they are inable to tolerate even small amounts of sunlight. Though they all have wings, only those that live in mountainous areas ever put them to use, most preferring to ambush prey on the ground then from above. |
