| Opeth. This band is truly incredible. They have roots in death metal, it's popular in their home country of Sweden, but they really shine in their progressive sounds such as "Harvest" or "Windowpane, or hybrids of metal and melodic sounds such as "Bleak" and "Black Rose Immortal."( A 20 minute epic.) I recommend you listen to these song and escape the "me too" radio crap.This in my eyes, my friends, is real music. I had the pleasure of seeing Opeth in Detroit at Harpos. They are great live. I went and saw them again in July on the Damnation tour with Pourcupine Tree. It was great, I still love Opeth. Saw the again at Harpo's and that was a good show. These guys are very talented individuals. |

Movies I like are Predator 1 and 2, Tommy boy, The Lord of the Rings epics, Billy Madison, The Ninja Turtles movies, The Matrix 1 and 2 and so many others. |
