| Ok, I fess up! This page was made for a Career and Personal Planning issues project, and we all had to choose one issue, so I chose - recycling! This, by no means...well...means that I am less of a recycler. Starting this project just made me finally get off my lazy butt and do something that I really care about! Thank you, Mrs. Kenakin! Below are my recycling credentials and past influences: |
| Grade 1 - Mrs. Lescio (darn, did I spell that right? Argh!) Was the first (and, looking back, ONLY) person who ever called me...a...LITTERBUG!!! What a traumatizing experience for a 7 year old! To be called a litterbug when all she wanted to do was be the best child in the class! Yes, it was only just one LITTLE candy-wrapper, but it was enough to make me paranoid for, like, the rest of my life! (I suppose child-hood experiences really DO affect the way you are when you grow up). Well, obviously, I never littered ever again! (only when she wasn't around. No, j/k....) Grade 3/4 - Mrs. Nunno Wow, she was like the best, she's my role model! I still remember the time when she told us that you could wash Saran Wrap and reuse it again...woah! She was REALLY into recycling, always made us do these earth conservation projects (which turned out to be really fun...except that time when we had to pick worms up off the sidewalk. Like, ewwww....) Thank you Mrs. Nunno. That was the turning to point that got me into recycling. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - B I G G A P - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Grade 11 - Mr. Gresko No, Mr. Gresko, I didn't do recycling after school because of volunteer hours. I did it because I really DO care about recycing! He is the one that taught me all that useful info about technical recycling rules (like labels on or off) and other interesting tidbits that I never learned before! Even though the only time I ever heard him laugh was when I got stinky chemicals on my fingers from staining bacteria (hey, I really thought the smell would last there for an entire week!), it felt good to take part in returning recycling money to the school. |
| Well, um, um, that's it! Thank you for coming here, I always thought About Me pages were stupid, but I needed a place to throw out my acknowledgements to the people who have influenced me. Okay, um, um, here's some more random info so that the About Me page won't look totally pathetic: Interests: (apart from recycling) Anime! And, um, anime music! (Serial Experiments Lain...woah...); and, um, writing and reading too. Grade: 12 Life Story: Born in Scarborough, Ontario, then moved to Richmond, BC in grade 4 because of Dad's job transfer, switched schools alot, then finally settled in highschool in the McNair Mini-School program at Matthew McNair Secondary. Personality: Um...shy. Really! And empathetic, and easy-going and occasional worrywart and occasional self-doubt all mixed into one! And weird (or so I've heard). Aspires to be: I dunno, some weird career, like mortician. I'm hoping a cosmetic surgeon who has her own clinic (but what's the chance in that happening?!) But what I REALLY want to be is...a...LIBRARIAN! But no one will let me, so I have to work so hard in stupid science. What I am good at: English, making webpages (please say yes! I do the Lazy-Boy Page Builder way, he he!), zoning out.... |
