Our obsession with death even flows through our movies that we watch.  When I did a search for titles of movies with "Death" in them at the Internet Movie Database, I had over 650 hits.  These included: Death and the Maiden; Death has no Friends; Death has no Mercy; Death Kiss; Death of a Gunfighter; Death of a Salesman; Death Trap and Death Valley.  When I searched for the word "Dying" I had over 40 hits including: Dying to Meet You; Dying Young; and a Kiss Before Dying.

A few films with Afterlife Themes: The Wizard of Oz; It's a Wonderful Life; A Christmas Carol; What Dreams May Come; Flatliners; Defending Your Life; Ghost; Jacob's Ladder; Heaven Can Wait; The Seventh Seal; Somewhere in Time; The Heavenly Kid; The Search for Bridey Murphay; Hello Again; Dead Again; and the Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

Death also plays a big part in the television shows that we watch.
