In Search of Sunrise

A shadow falls upon these lands
A sorrow that's undying
The trees are scorched
The hillsides bare
Now hear the heavens crying

Great battles fought ere beauty gone
These lands preserve the tale
The men were felled
By callous hands
Brought forth from depths of hell

Sun is blocked and darkness falls
It slowly fades to twilight
But dawn will come
As always does
Fair light shall banish gloom of night

Accursed lands forsaken so
Now seal your wounds of old
Let light come forth
To breath back life
Lands cannot stay forever cold

AUTHOR'S NOTES: This is just a poem that I decided to write one day. Although it doesn't really have anything to do with the Lord of the Rings, I thought that it seemed like something that suited the LotR nicely. Hope you liked it!
