| I am Jonathan Kirk, and I am a tenth grader at the EHS. Throughout this school year I have, partially made to by forced, put forth a genuine effort in my schooling this most precious year of high school. I have tried what I would consider my best in the subjects, and although haven't gotten what I'd consider-by any standards- my just reward, I've gained something more important; knowledge and experience. This newfound experience and knowledge I now possess will undoubtedly be the first step into adult hood, I have learned to improvise around, cope with and endure academic hardships I never could have imagined the first time I stepped upon the EHS campus. As I reflect now back on all the things and work, I realize what an accomplishment it's really been. It has been a hard, long road-with many miles yet, if fact- but I've come this far, and I am definitely not giving up now. There have been a few requirements I've needed to meet throughout the year. Those include, books being read, community service, and not so required, but school involvement. All three of these areas I have participated in and completed within the year, and, one I have even surpassed the requirement two-fold at least. In one, though, I may not have been as proficient as the others, but that is due more to a lack of ability more than to laziness. |
