LONG LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY, A CHILD WAS BORN WITH A ROD IN HIS HAND AND A PAIR OF POLARISED SUNGLASSES ON HIS NOGGIN. THAT CHILD WAS
THE FIGHT
Sometimes a child comes into this world born with special abilities.  Some are musical maestroes, others mathmatical genius.  But once in a Blue Moon a Fishing Prodigy comes along to show all us Wannabe Zane Grays and Eddie Riddles how its done, Kai is one such prodigy.  Kai in his somewhat short time on the planet so far is already making a name for himself in Fishing Circles.  Kai has WON 5 First places in only Three Competitions and in a recent Champion effort he not only won his age division but also Took out the prize of Overall Competition Champion!!!!! at the Pallaranda Childrens Fishing Classic with a whopping 3.5kg Permit >>>>>>>>>>>

How You Might Ask???

By catching the Heaviest Fish EVER in the competitions 17 Year History!!!

Now some of you older fellas might be saying,,, "Its only a Kids fishing Comp"  and "There Dads Really catch the fish".  Well I can assure you that's not the case.  For starters children upto 16 can enter the comp and I can remember catching fish as good as my Dad at that age.  Also Officals keep a sharp watch on the competitors to insure parents only encourage their children and dont actually do the Catching.

Plus the question I think we should really be asking ourselves is

HOW MANY OF US HAVE ACTUALLY CAUGHT A PERMIT???

I can assure you I haven't and I'm betting the majority of people reading this haven't either.  Permit tend to be a very skittish fish, known by anglers to be a very rare catch and when hooked to be a tenacious fighter that tests every weakness of the Fisherman and their Tackle.  Permit or also known as a Snub Nose Dart have incredible stamina, growing upto 8kg in size (though most caught are in the 1-2kg range) they prefer baits of small crabs & crustaceans kept live.

CONGRATULATIONS TO KAI FOR A CHAMPION FISH!!!!
AND TO CHRIS (his very proud Dad) for his training and guidance.
