A few retreats ago I mentioned that I was going to use this time to work on quilting my quilt that was based on a flag designed by Palmyra Mitchell, Union Mills, MO. She saved her farm from Union Soldier who were going to burn it down if they did not see an American flag fly out front. Now Palmyra's family sided with the Confederacy but she made that flag in 3 hrs. She got back at the Federals though by flying it upside.

Here is a picture of the quilt. Thanks to the retreats I am almost finished. I am quilting the flag now and will need to decide on a design for the border and maybe around the flag. I have writing on the white border around the flag. If any one has ideas I will welcome them.
