Monkey Thinks Spring
(water puddle in the jungle)

Linda sewed the blue diamond yesterday, and prepared the others.
Linda says # 63 was harder than she thought it would be because she could not see her
matches on the curves because of (1) the dark design of the fabric and (2) old age
(birthday last week, eh?). Instead of using her pencilled matches, she put a pin through
the crosshairs at the beginning and end of the seams and folded to create a crease and
used that for matching instead. Also, although she would normally stitch with the
unclipped side of the seam up (facing her) she sewed two of the curves with the clipped
seam up because it was the lighter fabric and she thinks it made it a bit easier to be
accurate. She goes really slowly on the curves--one or to stitches at a time.I trimmed the
dark seam allowances (photo evidence provided)* and we pressed .
"Frank knows a puddle of water when he sees it" very carefully
with no water vapor. The fabric is dark and it was difficult to work with, but it makes a
great puddle, don't you know?
