Maria

"The more I think about Jane, the more I wish I knew more. It seems so sad that someone who had such talent just faded away, except for one quilt. I wonder if she smiles when she sees us women of almost the XXIst. century fawning over her work and trying our best to reproduce it. Quilters’ heaven must be very much like my dreams of the quilt shop with all the bolts of  reproduction fabric on sale. A place where points are pointy, seams meet just right and quilting stitches are even and straight. At least, I hope so." From my Jane Journal, dated Nov 3rd, 1999.

I started journaling and journeying back in August 1999. I can only say one thing: I'm hooked. The perfectionist in me just fell in love with the blocks 2 years ago, and she's still going strong. My first DJ top is finished, I am working on my second. It has truly been a privilege to belong to this extraordinary group. The friendship and talent blow my mind away every time there is a retreat. To many more and many new Baby Janes!
