Arencibia is originally from California. Born in Los Angeles, Arencibia is bilingual and has a Cuban and Mexican heritage.
Arencibia attended college at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in Kinesiology. It was there that he met his wife Lacey.
Teaching all levels of High School Spanish in Texas, Arencibia worked hard on developing a successful Spanish curriculum for his classroom instruction.
Arencibia has taught Spanish I,II,III,IV/V and Native Speakers at the Kaufman, Lancaster, and Irving I.S.D.'s respectively.

David attended Apple Valley High School in Apple Valley, California. A proud Sundevil, he was the Student Body President (5A - Division I), on the Varsity Football and Baseball teams, and a Captain on the Track team.

Arencibia was the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Dept. Chair at MacArthur High School where he also coached the varsity receivers in MacArthur's 5A football program. Previously, he was the head J.V. and Freshman coach as well.

Arencibia was a Vice Principal at Austin Middle School in Irving.

Arencibia is pursuing a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) degree specializing in Teacher Leadership at Walden University. His research study is on the Implemention of Higher Order Technology in the Classroom.
