DAYS OF LABOUR
here is a NYCLabourDay story I will hide from my kids.

FRIDAY- Afterwork Pub Crawl- Bar Hopping
West Side Pubcrawl- 2 Lounge Bars, 5 university bars, followed a hip-hop R&B Club with real lasers on the dancefloor (i think that is dangerous shining in
peoples eyes?)  Highlights: 1) the photos i took with a girl in the ladies washroom. (she dragged me in there kicking and screaming)  2)the "Thong Song" came
on and two girls jumped on the bar---all the guys stopped dancing and turned towards them.  Thongs were shown and they flashed the whole bar some upper body
curves.  The place erupted in screams of encouragement like a backstreet boys concert.

SAT - Trip to Atlantic City
to cure my nightbefore I took bus to Atlantic City.  2 hours-$28 later I was in Trump's Town....as i got off the bus the casino (Tropicana) gave us all a crisp $20
bill.  Nice!  I spent rest of the day on the boardwalk, walking around the AC casinos, eating at the buffet table, tanning on the beach and taking
splashes in the Atlantic Ocean.  At the last casino I decided to do some hardcore betting....so i went to the nickel slots with $2 in nickels ready to be blown.
I lost 30 cents, I won 40 cents, I lost 50 cents, I won 10 cents....finally with my second last nickel....I hit the jackpot....the lights went off and
the alarm sounded.   400 nickels later I was a rich man ($20 richer...)  I left there and treated myself to a atlantic city slurpee.  I took bus back to NY and
slept the night away.

SUNDAY - GREENWICH WALKING
hung out in greenwich village. tried to get lost in the streets of NY...went to watch WIGSTOCK where guys dress up in drag and wear outrageous blonde wigs.  on
the way out I tried a sample of a new "refreshing "drink...unfortunately the marketers didn't figure out that red hot chili peppers in the drink (that burns on
the way down and way out) doesn't spell R-E-F-R-E-S-H-I-N-G recovered the rest of the night from internal meltdown and heatrash.

MONDAY- WEST INDIES STREETPARTY IN BROOKLYN
Got there about 11am---shook the hand of Rudolph Guiliani as he passed by--got some good photos. Walked by a dry cleaners that had signs for Jerk Chicken $4.
Went in to investigate and sure enough the dry cleaners was selling food.  Bought a big portion of Jerk Chicken and BBQ beans and rice and headed off to
watch the rest of the parade.  Came home late and watched Monday Night Football. (everybody does it in the NY so now i have joined in to enjoy the Dennis
Miller 3 hour Monday Night special)  fell asleep at midnight...and dreamed of the next labour day...
