| NYC vs LONDON | ||||||||
| COMPARING NYC AND LONDON I would have to say that the skyline in NY wins hand down (taking the ferry from manhattan to staten island-passing the statue of liberty is something that is hard to forget).. tthe view from the Hudson river is much better than the murky water of the Thames River. London has many more wonderful parks and is a much cleaner place to live. In NYC you have different races...but most people there are melted into "Americans". In Britain many more people have kept their racial heritage..which I prefer... you get the best food from all around the world at the corner shop...rather than at an expensive restaurant in manhattan. Both places have way too many choices. In NYC the chances of seeing the same person twice is very, very rare...in London i run into people a little more frequently. Both places are bigger than anyone-- and much of what they are is hype. I loved living in both cities...but i need a little bit smaller surroundings to really live life to its fullest....both these two places are much short-term, hectic and job focused. Your time is sucked away quickly with overstimulation...you can do anything but you rarely have the time to do it. Sad but true....but if I wanted to live in NY or London-- I would choose London...higher quality of life and culture. Anyways 10 million people in a small area is a little too much....I am looking for a city of 1-3 million that is growing and dynamic... next stop Dublin. |
