A. To answer your question directly, probably when you are 3 to 4 months pregnant. As the baby grows, so does your uterus. On average, when you're about 12 weeks pregnant, the uterus begins to be detectable in your belly as it outgrows your pelvis. By the time you're 20 weeks pregnant, the uterus should be at the level of your belly-button, and near the end of your pregnancy, the top of the uterus is not far below your ribs!
More importantly for you now is what your plans are, not for hiding the pregnancy, but for medical care. If you plan to keep the pregnancy, you should see your doctor, or any doctor who looks after pregnant women. He/she can answer ALL your questions, tell you what to expect along the way, and give good advice about how to keep both you and your growing baby healthy. No matter what your plans are, a trip to the family doctor will help answer questions and give you options.
