Actually, the other risk is that your spouse might bite you, or have their teeth "get in the way" and cause some pain at your nipple.
Assuming your partner leaves enough for your child and doesn't traumatize your nipple, I say try try away! But making a habit of it is not a good idea as the content of the initial milk that comes out and the later milk is different. Baby needs both!
