Teaching Anatomy at The Institute
Unparalleled beauty in the Smokey Mountains!

Welcome to Benedict's Estate!

Benedict: A Stunning Tribute!

This kind act of self-sacrifice has not gone unnoticed by the students at the institute, who have responded by commissioning and financing the construction of this glorious statue of Benedict (shown right). While clearly a somewhat generous rendition of Benedict's more youthful days, Benedict was nonetheless moved to tears at its unveiling.

Benedict has asked to be buried here.

This statue is housed in a fine rotunda (shown left at night) on the estate. The design of this structure has since served as the inspiration for the more recognized (though also more diminutive) Jefferson Memorial in our nation's capitol, and in fact, during cherry-blossom time there at least, Benedict actually considers that structure to be the more impressive of the two.
