| Dear visitors to this site, My name is Joan Stevens (JMariah) and I am a single mother of two. For several years I attended a Baptist church in Toronto and wrote a single parents' column in the church bulletin. I have since compiled some of the articles into book form and now offer some of those pages here on this web site. I do not claim to be an expert on all of the subjects I wrote about, though I do tell of personal experiences in each article. I wrote as I was inspired by God through the Bible and through the preaching I received at that time. Dear Single Mothers is not a book solely for the single mother, in fact I have received much feedback from single fathers and married couples that my book has been encouraging to them also. I trust you will stay awhile to read what I have posted, and I sincerely hope that the writings will both encourage and inspire you. None of us is perfect; none of us has fully mastered all the principles of a godly life. So as we are ever learning in our walk toward Christ, let us exhort one another.
