Dallas, this is my city, my home. Call me biased but I love this city. Dallas has the lowest unemployment rate in the United States. Dallas has one of the lowest cost of living, yet one of the highest standards of living in the United States. This is an excellent city for both large and small businesses. But lets not forget its neighbor to the west, Ft. Worth also has many wonderful things to offer and is only a 30 to 40 min drive from downtown Dallas via I-30. These two cities could not be more different especially considering there proximity to each other. I like to use this analogy to describe the difference in attitudes of the two cities. In Ft. Worth if the posted speed limit is 55 mph, people from Ft. Worth will say to themselves, Just because the sign says 55 does not mean I have to go that fast. In Dallas a person would say to himself or herself, 55? Lets see that means I can safely do 65 mph without worrying about getting a speeding ticket. These two cities could not be more different, but I love them both just the same. |

Every year the city of Dallas hosts, Easter in the park. This event is open to the public at no charge and is held at Lee Park on Turtle Creek. This is a wonderful event for all as you sit on the lush green lawns of the park with your picnic taking in the sounds provided by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy pooches on Parade, hosted by the Dallas SPCA and maybe even adopt a pet. |
