
PUMPKIN BREAD
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
16 oz Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin
2 and 1/2 cups sugar
3 and 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, cream together shortening, eggs and canned pumpkin. In another bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.
Stir into the pumpkin mixture and mix well. All chopped nuts.
Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake for 1 hour. Cool before removing from pans.
Makes about 32 servings
