
HEAVENLY ANGEL BISCUITS
1 package of yeast
1 cup of shortening, melted
1/4 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoon of warm water
2 cups of buttermilk
5 cups of flour, shifted
1 teaspoon of baking soda
Mix the yeast and the warm water together and let stand two minutes
Mix together the melted shortening, buttermilk & sugar.
Stir in the yeast mixture.
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and the salt and stir into the yeast mixture.
Roll out on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Let the biscuits set for a few minutes and then bake for 15 minutes at 450 degrees.
