Welcome to our Pictures Page

Some of these pictures are from our October 6, 2001 wedding, some are from our honeymoon, some are from our "First Whirlwind Tour of Kansas", and some are of our new home, which we bought in June.

The wedding pictures were taken by our friend Rob Hassig, one of our high school teachers. We think he has a second career in photography ahead of him. The first two were taken in front of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas, immediately after the wedding. The third picture is of our first dance.

These pictures are from our honeymoon in Orlando. The first is in front of the castle in the Magic Kingdom; the second was taken at Epcot. We can't remember where we were when the third picture was taken. We have no idea who that guy is, either.

In March 2002, we had the urge to get out of Emporia. With no real plan, we drove west on US 56, which follows the old Santa Fe Trail. We spent the night in Garden City and then headed north. This picture was taken not far from Scott City. Diana is standing in front of Monument Rocks, the windworn remains of ocean chalk beds. Behind her is Western Kansas.

This picture was taken just outside of Dodge City. Behind Diana are trail ruts from the Santa Fe Trail. (Four sets, if you know what you're looking for. Otherwise, it looks like lots of grass.)

This is Jim in front of Monument Rocks. You can see them from about 11 miles away, not because they're giantic, but because there is NOTHING to block your view.

This is our first home! It's a one-and-a-half-story bungalow with a full basement, detached garage, yard, and hardwood floors. It was built in 1930 and is full of charm. The top picture is the front; the bottom picture is the back.
