| Yes, it all began with one Kiss. The Kiss of the Kindred. And it was everything she'd imagined it would be, and then some. She's never seen that particular vampire since then, though she watches for him, it's likely that he was 'taken care of' by another. The first few weeks were, well, confusing. She'd frequent such places as Club Fetish where it seems she had no problem at all finding a hungry set of fangs or two. Oh, she was most careful then too. She'd read "enough" to know that she did NOT want to become another undead, or even one of those horrible ghoul things, she was adament with each one.. "Please, don't ....?" and was ever so lucky to manage for a short while. It was at this point where she began a relationship with a Toreador that is still going on . He has entranced her such, that when he calls for her, it doesn't matter where she is, she finds a way to get to him. He is mysterious and cunning, avoiding detection by even the keenest of eyes. Then she came across a Ventrue who wouldn't say no. Oh, he didn't ghoul her, but she did find herself blood bonded to him and shortly thereafter she moved into his estate and began her training as a manager of one of his dining establishments. Unfortunately, part of the deal meant that she would have to endure his "womanizing", as Kindred tend to do, even to the point of waiting on the women as he doted on them, leaving her in the shadows until he needed something. This was both fortuitous and devastating to her. The blood bond making her very jealous, to the point that she could stand it no longer and managed to leave the estate; and the fact that he was so adequately entertained elsewhere, her absence went unnoticed - or at least was left as it was for a time. Thus began the next stage of her life as a blood doll. It was as if news got out, and suddenly she was approached on a regular basis by all sorts of kindred. Even while she was at work at Denny's, they would come in and lure her out. Eventually, she ran across Edward Switz. A malk who'd first made her acquaintance in afore NOT mentioned establishment. He got HIS first taste of Nell, and has been a semi-regular guest, even without Lennith's approval. A number of other kindred made an impact on her during this time, Bryan Armstrong, Marcus DelRio, Marcus D'Angelus, Nathaniel, even a Giovanni, Lucas Stanley... and several others who mysteriously disappeared. She also met a different type of Kindred, one who didn't meet any of her preconceived notions of what a vampire was, well, because he /was/ different. Kojin spoke to her about working with him. He knew what kind of magnet she was for the Children of Caine, and he needed a connection to those members of the Sabbat that he was determined to rid the world of. While she was leery of becoming that involved, she could understand the need for keeping the public safe from the 'monsters,' and she was seriously thinking of doing just that, when... ... she first met the one man who would truly make the greatest impact on her life, though at the time, she would have just as soon kicked him as look at him. Casius Black. He arrives, informing her that he'd been using her as bait for some time now, and suddenly his conscious got the better of him and he decided to speak to her about stopping her dangerous habit. Well, of course she resisted!! Who /was/ he anyway, to tell her what she can and can't do? It was her life after all! He made quite a graphic display of how ridiculous that was once when he was speaking to her in his apartment, by smashing the bones in one of his hands. "It only hurts me, but is it smart?" That bothered her for some time. She met his brother,Leonard at that time. They didn't hit it off too well either, as she made some unfortunate - stress forced - comment about, maybe he deserved having his fiance Elizabeth slaughtered? Since then, they manage to avoid each other pretty well. Thing continued to be rocky. Nell took a second job, working part time at Heresy, a goth "got-it-all" type establishment run by Michael Poe. The work was fun, the pay excellent, and the fringe benefits interesting. She got fired from Denny's due to tardiness and unexplained absences - in other words, too many kindred visits keeping her away. But she took on another job with a nice, older handicapped fellow by the name of Jobe. She was going to learn small appliance repair of all things!! It was also during the holiday season when things with Nell and Casius got steamy. After she finally admitted to herself that she was looking for him to argue only because she needed desperately to see him, did she break down and offer him a kiss. And boy did the fireworks go off then! It was as if neither of them could see enough of the other! Although his demanding lifestyle kept him away alot, whenever he was free, he'd be spending his time with her. And she was really happy for the first time in her life. They seemed to be just exactly what the other needed. And it was his influence that made her decide that she would get out of her current lifestyle. She knew now that she loved him with all her heart and she would gladly do anything he asked to make him happy, from wearing the bizarre costumes he brought for his rare and intensely and powerfully intimate visits, to dealing with the fact that they could not be seen in public together for fear of putting either of them in danger. She /would/ find a way to end this life threatening addiction to the Kiss that put them both at risk. She was about to tell him this very thing on a scheduled trip to the Poconos, when she was abducted by a vengeance seeking Lasombra. So, it was that she was packed off to the estates of Vincent D'Amire she put under a conditioning program to make her even MORE addicted. He would visit her hourly.. for the fortnight she was under his control. When she resisted, she was beaten. If she argued, she was refused another Kiss. Vincent even stood back and watched as one of his Giovanni cohorts decided to take a taste, and later, as a small gang of his ghouls took it upon themselves (or was it by his orders?) to rape her she shredded the fancy wardrobe he'd provided for her. These were only some of the things she endured in his home, all preparing for the presumed rescue attempt of her beloved Casius. And come he did, in a blazing, bloody show of calm revenge. Nothing could stand in his way until he had Vincent along with Nell cornered in a back room of the estate. Things weren't looking very good though, as Casius was being held tightly by several shadow tentacles as Vince fed from Nell to repair some wounds he'd received. Only with the aid of a subtle and silent friend was Casius able to break free and send Vincent packing. It was with great concern that the injured and worried Nell flew to his side to see if he was hurt, only to be escorted unceremoniously and silently to a waiting ambulance and sent away with hardly a word. It was then that Nell began to fear that he hated her for what she was, and as she sat alone in the ER bed, she began to make tearful plans to leave town, for his sake. *sigh* HOME PAGE 3 |
