Moira has lived in Ice Haven since she was ten years old. Her father brought the family here from another place, with a slightly warmer climate - if such a place exists on this frozen orb! - in hopes of making a name for himself here. The whole family were gifted musicians, her father would play the lute, her mother was renowned on her ocarina, and even her little brother showed promise on the flute. Unfortunately, her mother and brother were lost shortly after they arrived. Being forced to live in Bard Town they were unprepared for the intense cold here, and were weakened such, that when a plague swept through the homes of the performers, the two did not survive. Her father didn't take it well, and has been in a steady decline of both mentally and physically ever since then. |

Moira managed to eek out a living for the two of them for many, many years, often singing on the street corners to earn a few coins. Then she almost foolishly agreed to accompany a party out of town to add some dwarves who were having some trouble in their mines. She'd never been out of the city since she first arrived, and found the extreme cold, the constant threat of attack from any sort of foe to be both unnerving and exhilerating, but not nearly as exciting as one of the members of the party. Even the presentation of the Gemshadow Clan signet rings, marking them as official members of the dwarf clan, could rival the delight in meeting Remington Cunningham... and she vowed to get to know him better! |

Now, a mere few weeks since that first adventure, the 24yr old songbird has had any number of adventures under her belt, many of which, if not most, involving said Mr. Cunningham. Most notibly, one journey without him, took her and a party of four others to the ends of the known world and beyond, where the god Dargos set them on a quest to stop Aktenaton from raising followers to worship Sutek. They were presented with a Crystal that would permit them to change their fate, once. It was less than a week later when Moira was to put that to a test.
Moira and Remington joined up with a friend elf to help finish clearing out a cavern they had discovered on an earlier trip. All went well, until Moira touched some of the treasure in one of the rooms, awakening the beast that guarded it... an ancient soul-stealing Barghest! The battle went surprisingly well, with the aid of a wand of healing they were beating it down, and surviving. Then, Moira moved to the side of a fallen comrade, the beast took it's fury out on her. In one fell attack, she was shredded to bits but then, the crystal was activated, time rewound for a fraction of a second and changed the attack just enough, that though mortally wounded, the lass survived! |

With a new lease on life, she has opened her heart to Remington, letting him know how she feels and that it was the thought of losing him that brought her back from the edge of Death and she will never be quite the same again. |

|
One adventure after another, usually at Remy's side - or more likely at his back - has found Moira learning more and more bardic skills, most of which she uses to support Remy and the rest of the company in times of trouble. The "Company" generally composed of Morgan Beaudelaire, Jonas Hawkins, and Sinnis ___ , although Sinnis was lost on Remington's Quest for Atonement to the Thargol Mountains.
Moira has contributed with Morgan and a halfling of the Oathsword Company, Tobias Stockbarrel to purchase and rennovate an old tavern, creating The Arising Phoenix Tavern. The upper floor providing living quarters where Moira has moved in with Remy as they plan his final knight's quest and knighting ceremony! |

A great many things have happened in the past year, life, death.. joy.. sorrows, gains and losses; friends made and lost. Tobias moved back home with his family, and Morgan signed over his portion of the tavern to the now married pair. Yes, Remington surprised Moira one morning with a wedding that would put to shame any little girl's dreams of the perfect day, complete with family, elegant gown, romantic setting, and most astounding of all a celestial performing the rites! From that day, the pair are bonded telepathically and empathically, sharing each other's pain and joy and making them grow more fonder of each other each day.
Pledge to remain faithful til death and beyond, they face any challenges together when possible, trusting upon each others strengths and becoming a mighty force against the powers of evil no matter where they materialize.. all while running a popular tavern, one blessed with a Hallowing that gives all within a warm and safe feeling. But who knows what life with throw at them next? |
