| A more bizarre existence can hardly be imagined, than the one that Kassie has already endured to this point. Born on a plantation outside of New Dehli, India she was raised in a fairly genteel family with all the trappings, including native household servants. As her teen years apprached though, she became wilder and harder for her parents to maintain control over. So, because of that and the news of man-eating tigers on the loose, they decided to return to England, to her mother's family estate and send Kassie to boarding school there. But during the train ride to the coast, things changed, because so did Kassie. At an extended stop, she wandered too far from the train and was playing near a stream when a large male tiger approached her from the opposite bank, before he could speak or she could move the fear hits her and within moments she stands as a young tigress - but only briefly - and she takes flight, running from him, or herself she still doesn't know. When her family and the men from the train who had gathered to serach for her saw the tiger running from the direction she was last seen shouts rose and guns shots followed as they chased her back into the jungle. Discvoering the tattered remains of her clothing they naturally assumed she'd been lost, and her family sadly continued to England without her. |

As she hid from the men, and then watched her family leaving her behind, she thought for sure her life was over and just what in hell had happened to her anyway?! After the train had faded from view, she heard a rustling in the bushes, and that's when Kael reappeared in her life. Yes, it was the tiger that had triggered this life shattering event in her life, and he approached slowly, spoke to her in the strange speech of the cat and helped her to learn the secrets of her new life. Normally, a bastet mentor stays with his student only a year, then leaves her to fend for herself, having to deal with whatever she has - or has not -learned over that time, but Kael grew ever more fond of Kassie and against his own better judgment, after five years and shortly before her 18th birthday, they marry in a private ceremony near the stream where they first met. They were happy together. They enjoyed an easy life in both forms, hunting game or visiting the towns they'd come across, and shortly she discovered that she was pregnant. Kael pampered her enormously and took great care of her. Late in the pregnancy they went for a picnic, giving Kael a chance to run about in feline for a time, figuring that once the child was born it would slow them both up. Kassie was sitting on the blanket when she heard shots ring out and Kael's voice yelling at her to run for safety. She stood up just in time to see Kael fall from a gunshot and feel a stinging pain in her own belly. Even though she knew she'd put the child at risk, she shifted to feline and ran for her life, the pain in her side growing with every step. When she reached safety at the river, she returned to homid and agonizing pains of preterm labor.. and a puddle of blood from the bullet that found its way into her son. Having lost her second family, and her body shredded by the hunter's bullet, the young woman went into hiding trying to bury her pain in solitude. |

Over time, she rejoined the 'human race' and found a niche for herself with her hidden natural skill with various weapons, and became a mercenary. Her rage and eight made her a formidable force against whomever she faced.
Along the way, she met a young garou, Sheena Jackson. A delicate and sweet girl who'd not even under gone her own first change yet even at the age of 18, they were such opposites that they became fast friends. When Sheena found herself in Necropolis, in trouble, and in possession of an old run ddown lodge, she called to Kassie for help. Unfortunately she arrived too late to help Sheena, a point that she's never forgotten, and she took ownership of the lodge. She's been here ever since.
Her lodge and the acreage around it now become her den realm since reaching Tilau (rank 3) and she's "settled" into a domestic life as resort owner. |
