   The sphere of editor-publisher�s professional activity envelops the field of the guaranteeing of actual population demand for the books, of the execution of book and magazine production, of book-publishing business.
    The editor-publisher takes part in the publications massif forming, prepares the concrete editions, information and publicity materials for the press, organizes editorial-publishing process on the basis of modern information technologies, realizes management and marketing in the various branches of the book and magazine business, works in scientific-technical information and printing publicity agencies, also in scientific-research organizations and institutes of higher education.
     It is supposed, that modern editor-publisher is not only literate and erudite specialist, perfectly possessing of knowledge in Russian language and literature, but it is the man with progressive consciousness, owning the methods of working in the market studying of run on the publishing production. The principally new characteristics as independence, boldness in deciding, the knowledge of marketing and management, administration and economy is required from such worker.
