Insignia

Victoria Cross
Awarded to the best, the elite. This is awarded for excellent service for over a year, excellent combat and aircraft skill, and being a helpful and a teammate to other members of Ace's High.

Silver Star
Awarded to those who have twenty-four months continual service to Ace's High.

Bronze Star Awarded to those who have eighteen months continual service to Ace's High.

Distinguished Service Order
Awarded to those who have twelve months continual service to Ace's High.

Distinguished Service Cross
Awarded to those who have six months continual service to Ace's High.

Legion of Merit
Awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct or superior service in either a combat or a non-combat role.

Distinguished Flying Cross
Awarded for heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight; the highest award commonly awarded outside of organized competition.

Meritorious Service Medal Awarded for non-combat achievement in the service of Ace's High Squadron.

Air Medal
Awarded for heroic actions and outstanding skills; earned outside of organized competition.

Air Force Cross Awarded for excellent service, flying skills, and being helpful to others in Ace's High.

Aerial Achievement Medal Awarded for sustained meritorious achievement in flight.

Air Force Commendation Medal Awarded for superb aircraft handling skills, but lesser than those deserving the Air Medal.

National Defense Medal
Awarded for incontestable non-combat achievement in the service of Ace's High at large.

Combat Readiness Medal Awarded for continuous readiness for combat as shown by participation in Ace's High events.
Ribbons

Officer Ribbon The Officer Award Ribbon is awarded to Wing/Squad Officers for general good service. Must have 5 kills in one game.

Recruiter Ribbon Awarded to Recruiting Specialists and Recruiting Officers who are permitted to recruit.

Trainer Ribbon Awarded to Training Specialists and Training Officers for skill in training other members and teaching them new skills.

Operations Ribbon Awarded to Operations Specialists and Operations Officers for skill in setting up and leading wing operations. (i.e. Competitions, intersquad missions, matches)

Communication Ribbon Awarded to Communication Specialists and Communication Officers for skill in communication during flight.

Technical Ribbon Awarded to Technical Specialists and Technical Officers for skill on the technical side of CFS.

LSO Ribbon Awarded to Landing Signal Officer pilots for in instructing and controling operations around a carrier.

Mission Ribbon Awarded to Mission Specialists for skill in devising, setting up, and running missions.

Bomb Run Ribbon Awarded to Bomb Run Specialists for skill in setting up and running bomb runs.

Bomber Operations Ribbon Awarded to pilots for excellence in bomber operations.

Joint Operations Ribbon Awarded to pilots for participation in both fighter and bomber missions.

Leadership Ribbon Awarded to pilots for the ability lead the squadron in combat.

Scenery Ribbon Awarded to Scenery Specialists for skill in designing and publishing scenery.

Aircraft Ribbon Awarded to Aircraft Specialists for skill in creating and re-painting aircraft.

Helicopter Ribbon Awarded to Helicopter Specialists/Pilots who have proven themselves competent helicopter pilots and trainers. A pilot with this ribbon may train others to be a helicopter pilot.

Ace Ribbon Awarded to pilots for winning 3 intersquad FFA macthes in a row with vics set to 7 or higher or 5 kils in a team game against another squad.

Excellent Service Ribbon The Excellent Service Award Ribon is awarded to pilots who have serviced Ace's High significantly.

Devotion Ribbon The Devotion Award Ribbon is awarded to any pilot who devotes much of their time to Ace's High.

Carrier Qualification Ribbon Awarded to pilots for completing the Carrier Qualification exam by carrying out 10 consecutive landings and take offs from a stationary carrier.

Bad Weather Qualification Ribbon Awarded to Carrier Qual'd pilots who land 10 times on a carrier in bad weather carrier qualification mission.

Navy Achievement Ribbon Awarded to Carrier Qual'd pilots who land 10 times on a carrier with a Japanese aircraft.

Night Carrier Qualification Ribbon Awarded to Carrier Qual'd pilots who land 10 times on a carrier in night carrier qualification mission.

IJN Carrier Qualification Ribbon Awarded to Carrier Qual'd pilots who land 10 times on a carrier in the IJN carrier qualification mission.

Severe Rough Weather Carrier Qualification Ribbon Awarded to pilots who land 5 times on the Yorktown in the VF3 carrier qualification mission. Mission must be flown at 17:45 local time and within 15 minutes.

Precision Carrier Specialist Ribbon Awarded to pilots who complete 5 landings and take offs on a carrier with a wingman. Rules.

Distinguished Precision Carrier Specialist Ribbon Awarded to pilots who complete the Precision Carrier Specialist mission with an AH General. Rules.


Essex Achievement Ribbon/Patch Awarded to pilots who land on the Essex with a full deck of 8 or more planes.


Yorktown Achievement Ribbon/Patch Awarded to pilots who land on the Essex with a full deck of 7 or more planes.

Ranks

Rank Insignia Criterion
Colonel

Excellent attendance, demonstrated command ability shown through performance as Wing CO or XO, the ability to uphold Ace's High directives, demonstrated strong service to Ace's High and to the CFS community are the minimum required to be considered for Colonel.
Lieutenant Colonel

Excellent attendance, demonstrated command ability shown through performance as a Wing Officer, excellent combat and aircraft skill, as well as being helpful to other members are the minimum required to be considered for Lt. Colonel.
Major

Excellent attendance, demonstrated command ability shown through performance as a Wing Officer, and a demonstrated history of service to other pilots qualifies an individual for promotion to  Major.
Captain

Good attendance, demonstrated command ability and flying skill shown through performance as a Wing Officer and/or service to fellow pilots of Ace's High qualifies an individual for promotion to Captain.
1st Lieutenant

Good attendance and demonstrated flying ability; Attendance to at least 4 meetings and 2 training sessions; A biography submitted to the CO and XO all qualifies an individual for promotion to 1st Lieutenant.
2nd Lieutenant

Understand and agree to abide by the AH Code of Conduct, Protocol, Customs of Courtesies, and Code of Promotion.

Specialty Badges and Wings
Wings Insignia Criterion
Command Pilot

The Commanding Officer and/or Squadron Leader recieve these wings.
Senior Pilot

The Executive Officer and/or Assistant to the Squadron Leader recieve these wings.
Senior Officer

Pilots who have a position of responsibility and show devotion to their job may recieve these wings for their good service.
Trainer

Training Officers and those who have attended training seminars and workshops are awarded these wings for their skill and responsibility over newer pilots and tranining sessions.
Navy Ops Trainer

Carrier Specialists who have proven themselves in good weather, bad weather, night, IJN aircraft, IJN carriers, and Severe Bad weather qualifications.
Bomber Pilot

Bomber Pilots who have completed the Bomber Pilot Exam recieve these wings. The exam includes 10 fullstop landings and takeoffs as well as leading a formation in a cross country flight.
Pilot

Awarded to pilots who have completed at least one training session and are carrier qualified.
Chief Technician

Master Technician for AH. (In memory of AH_Skycow)
