| Hello, my name is Mary Guthrie. This is my seventh year teaching, my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at Hiddenite. Previously I taught Exceptional Children's Preschool at Head Start for Alexander County, and before that I taught More at Four Preschool in the Iredell-Statesville school system. I graduated from Alexander Central High School and then took a Teaching Fellows Scholarship to UNC Greensboro. I graduated from there with my degree in Human Development and my license to teach Birth-Kindergarten. I love teaching young children and hope to be able to do it for many years to come. I am married to my wonderful husband, Daniel. I have one step-son, Justin, who is 7 years old and I am expecting at the end of December. (a Christmas baby!)(It's a boy!) When I'm not at school or with Daniel and Justin I love to read. I also love to take trips to the beach and the mountains. My favorite color is PINK. |
