Foundation for the Deaf was established on 27th October, 1952 by Late M.L. Pin Malakul, Misister of Education. Lady La-iad Pibulsongkram was also one of the founders along with M.R. Semsri Kasemsri, and Lt. General Sadab Tirabutra (M.D.). The center is located in northwest of Bangkok at Sethsatian School for the Deaf, 137 Praram 5 Rd., Dusit, Fojndation for the Deaf plays an important role in promoting the needs of Deaf people in Thailand with variety of programs available under the auspices of the Queen of Thailand and donations.

Foundation for the Deaf provides a wide range of direct services to hearing impaired people, advocates their interests and promotes their rights. The trend of our population and the increase in noise pollution have made hearing loss the fastest growing disability in Thailand.
