Hi there! My name is Marty. Lynn and I established this group for everyone who is interested in learning to quilt. We are teaching everyone ways to save time and enjoy themselves. All of you may wonder how I learned to sew, crochet, knit and do other crafts. I remember when I was about 10 years old and my mother first taught me to crochet. At first I was frustrated and learned to chain stitich. I did this all day and finally showed my mom 12 feet of chain. Later my Aunt Kay, Grandma and Mom taught me many other skills. I graduated from WVA School for the Deaf and now reside in the Baltimore area. My husband and I have two grown sons. |

Last year I finished this wall hanging. All blocks are appliqued. I personalized each block with a bit of my imagination. I would encourage everyone to put a little of themselves into their quilts. |

My new purchase this past year has been a Grace Machine Quilt Frame. I set it up in my basement and here I am practicing on a small baby quilt. I'm afraid it's going to take quite a bit of practice. :) |

I have enjoyed working on this quilt and I placed an embroidered flower in the center. This added an extra flair to the quilt as I picked colors of emboidery threads that were incoorporated in the fabrics. |
