The Deaf Quilt Guild of Baltimore
Welcome to the new page of the Deaf Quilter's Guild of Baltimore. This newly-formed group began meeting in early spring of 2000 with the idea of gathering together nine women (eight Deaf and one hearing) to discuss quilting, individual projects, machines, and lives. The Guild meets once a month to share ideas, work on ongoing projects, discuss group projects, learn new techniques, and have fun. The Guild often finds time slipping by them as they chat when their machines are idle.
A quilt is a "fabric sandwich" of four layers: a top layer of color and design, a middle layer of warmth, a bottom layer of backing, and a final layer of LOVE!
Hello, Another year has arrived. Hard to believe we have started our eighth year. We elected new officers and they are working hard to make our group a success. We want to thank all for the time they give to our guild. We continue to meet in Frederick, Maryland and now meet regularly the second Saturday of the month. We are seeing new faces monthly and if you are in the area and would like to join us just drop us an email and we will give you directions.
