Dear Pastors and Praying Churches,
Down South- Wow, what a blessing! We just had a fellowship meeting of the Deaf leaders here in
Tampico. It was great to see all of our old friends and had the opportunity to make new ones.
This fellowship meeting was to plan for camp and to discuss some of the future plans of the
Baptist churches here in Mexico. We have been asked to take a survey trip down to a few cities,
all 3 are within a straight shot of each other. We really want to do this in June. PLEASE PRAY
OFTEN for the finances to be supplied to take this trip. Lord willing, and providing, we will be
traveling to Springfield, MO for career approval at the fellowship meeting in May. This will change
our status from short- term missionaries to career missionaries. And we are so excited about this.
Evangelism � We had a great witnessing opportunity in Marlene�s family the other day, no decisions
were made, but the seed has been planted. David will be baptizing Marlene within the next month or so, and
her aunt has promised to come. Please pray for Marlene�s family�s salvation. Also, Wednesday night
we had a teenage girl come to church that did not know many signs, but sat glued to the preaching. Her
name is Abbi. We witnessed to her for about 45 minutes but she did not receive Christ. Please pray for
her salvation as well as two others that do not know sign language that we have been witnessing to.
Answered prayer and prayer requests � Souls saved. Spiritual growth with the deaf teens. The
Lord�s leading in where to return to start a church. The planning and things involved in Deaf Camp.
Finances for our trip to Springfield for approval and for survey trip in Mexico. Also a personal request
we have, that God will continue to work in this area. Please pray for our Spanish teacher and his church.
Praising God for His provisions and love toward us.
Furture events- Continuing language school for about 3 months, building the church
building, , groups coming to help in the construction, visiting cities to establish
works once we return from furlough, and setting up our schedule for our deputation in 2007.
