I decided recently to dedicate my website to Dani Moore (that's her on the right) because she was such a wonderful part of my life, even though I only knew her for a couple of years.

We went to college together, and I remember being fascinated from the first time I saw her.  Gothed up head to toe, wearing black leather and chains - she always looked remarkable.  She was also an incredibly warm and affable personality, and very quick to make friends with people and make you laugh.

She was very into Marilyn Manson, and had the (dubious) pleasure of seeing him live, which no doubt was one of her favourite experiences in life.  She also had quite a thing going for Jonathon Rhys Meyers, as I recall...

She was a strong and unique person, and probably my fondest memory of her is when I was upset that the only music shop in my hometown had practically hidden the new Queen single rather
I've also dedicated this website to my Great Grandfather, Sidney Harold Lander.  1894 (approximately) - 1970.
Although he died about thirteen years before I was born, my family who knew him all have very fond memories of him.  He was a person who managed to see the best in everyone, and never had a bad word to say about anybody.
He served in both world wars in the Merchant Navy (who transported goods, rather than troops as did the Royal Navy) aboard the HMS Madison, and Torpedo Boats 111 and 121.
He was very caring, and had a great sense of humour from all the stories I have heard, and I just wanted to share his exceptional good nature with a few more people out there and honour his memory.

than prominently displaying it, and because I was griping about it she went right into the shop and announced that her friend was a Queen fan (pointing at me) and why the Hell hadn't they bothered with any sort of display?  She was great.  She stood up for herself and everyone else.

Well, about a month ago I got a phonecall from her mother saying she had died from a long standing medical condition she had - all I can say is that she lived a really full life, and from the sheer volume of people who turned up to her funeral it's clear that she touched literally hundreds of lives.  She was a wonderful person, and one who I learned a lot of confidence from, and I'm going to miss her, but I'll always remember her with a smile.
