| For those of you out there who are entirely unfamiliar with Guns N' Roses (or if it's unrecognisable) - this is my drawing of their lead singer, Axl Rose. I drew this as a birthday present for a friend of mine who lives in Wales (or was it a Xmas present?) Anyway, she's a big GN'R fan, and having drawn Duff (another picture on the gallery page) I was feeling confident enough to make the attempt. I sent off the original to her, and I hope she liked it. She would probably have preferred Marilyn Manson, but I couldn't quite get up the nerve to sit in a confined space and stare at a picture of the guy for the number of hours it usually takes me to come up with a drawing. Maybe next December..? This picture is from the Use Your Illusion albums, and is quite a bit larger than the original, so it was a something of a challenge. The background I just made up from one of their band logos. Oh - and if you're wondering what GN'F'NR's stands for...use your imagination. |
