Starring Gareth Knox as Zombie Man : a film by Nick Thomson
Having completed �VHS� and as Gareth �my NIGHTMARE� Knox had returned for the summer before heading off into the world of work, I decided to make a final film with him before our respective schedules would become too busy (what with his venturing into the world of engineering and me into videography). Since making �Trapped� in 2005 I had been meaning to make another zombie-themed short, and IAZM was the product of taking one of the original ideas behind �Trapped� and moulding it to suit a quick �in and out� filming session.
The film is in a semi-documentary style and centres on Zombie Man himself, previously a human, who was attacked by the living dead but survived (minus the flesh from his face). The whole piece is an over-the-top comic piece, (and yes, ZM�s head is just a cheap Halloween mask!), mainly as a bit of fun and a final chance to work with Knox. Having spent most of the year up to the point of making IAZM taking the whole filmmaking process very seriously and doing everything meticulously, this project allowed me to blow off steam, but create something entertaining in the process.
