| Inside Hereford Butter Market
: as seen on BBC Local TV You guessed it, another film for BBC Local TV. This time round I teamed up with one of Rural Medias young reporters Abby Whyte to do a piece on the Butter Market in Hereford (think covered market, stalls and all). As wed both been involved with Rural Media for a while now (at that point) we were trusted to head out with one of the kits and get a film unsupervised. We gathered some vox pops from passers by before heading inside to get an interview with the owner of the fish stall (who is also in the governing of the market itself) on what he thought of the Butter Market. We then went around the other stalls and got a variety of footage and interviews with other vendors. After doing the main shoot we were then joined by Mike Jackson and a guy (his name escapes me) who had been commissioned to make a documentary about how Local TV worked, and we were to appear as representatives of the pilot. After being filmed at work we headed back to Rural Media and were interviewed. Last I heard the documentary was to be shown at BBC Head Office. This piece was a great opportunity for me to do all the technical stuff (direct and film) while Abby did all the presenting and people work. After filming was complete I handed the film over to Mike Jackson so the film could be edited. |
