| I got into Silverchair after seeing a video of theirs on MTV2 one time. Their first album, 'Frogstomp' was released in 1995, when the lead singer Daniel Johns was at the tender age of fifteen. They then went on to release a second album in 1997 called 'Freak Show'. This is my least favourite of all their albums. I view it as a very experimental album, it was the transition between 'Frogstomp' and 'Neon Ballroon' which was released 1999. Their most recent album, 'Diorama' was brought out in the summer of 2002. If you listened to all four albums back to back you can clearly hear the transitions they have made in music. Daniel Johns is an inspiration to me lyricaly, moraly and as a singer. His songs are extremely thought provoking. Then again, so is the shit he has tackled throughout his whole life (annorexia at 17...arthritus at 21...etc). He is a very strong willed man, with high morals. |
