Catapult
Catapult was first played on April 17, 1992 in San Francisco, California. Straight out of the dome of Mike Gordon, this song could only be played through spoken word. I can't see how else. The song was intended to be a recorded piece (as it was released on A Picture of Nectar), and never make it's way to the stage. However, it did make its way in a David Bowie that gig. Pharmer's Almanac wrote, "Catapult has made its best (and wackiest) appearances as part of other songs."
Besides its known release, the song was not played regularly. It was almost like a extra "umph" to the show. It is definately a good find on the trades, but if you don't want to go through that trouble, then go buy Picture of Nectar.

I'd catapult downtown
To see the galleries
And my favorite fiancee
In a lavender gown
But I'm hooked up to a machine
It performs my daily functions
Through a tube in my wien
And today that thing malfunctioned
Like a forest fire
It burnt a hole in me and I perspired
So there ain't gonna be a wedding
No love affair
No art to which none compares
