Camel Walk

First played on March 4, 1985, this song has been around since the beginning of Phish. It is considered one of the few remnants of Jeff Holdsworth, the fifth Phish for about a year and a half. Learn more about him in the Band Bio section. Even though Jeff is gone, this song is still player today. Instead of Jeff singing now, Trey sings. Known for its extra-ordinarily strange riffs, it has become a fan fave. Surprisingly, it has not been played heavily regardless of its reputation.
When Jeff was in with Phish, the song sounded somewhat different. Jeff sang, and added another point of view on guitar. After Jeff left, it was a common/uncommon song, but when into hiding for a good six years before its awesome reincarnation on 7.2.95. This bad boy is yet to appear on an album, but it is fairly accessable online and through trading.

Goin' downtown to the disco
Gotta do it right away
Gotta funky beat to get into
Gonna blow my blues away

Talkin' Camel Walk

Got funk, flick it around
Movin' to the beat of the sou-ou-ound
