At The Barbecue
This song was written by Trey, and it was first played June 21, in 1997. This was in Scheessel, Germany, at a gig called the "Hurricane Festival." This is another song dedicated to Trey's composition teacher, Ernie Stires. Stires was more like a mentor to Trey than a teacher, because he boosted his confidence in writing music.
Because the song is little over a minute in length, there is little room for change or jamage. However, in Trey's Album, "One Man's Trash," At the Barbecue was played along with Michael Ray, and other friends of Trey. This peice did not gain much circulation over the years of Phish, being only played twice in the summer of 1997. However, you can hear it all you want if you buy the album mentioned above.
